The Coasters (formerly known as Young Friends) of Florida Oceanographic is a dynamic group of young adults, ages 21 through 50, engaged in activities that promote the Florida Oceanographic mission, to inspire environmental stewardship of Florida’s coastal ecosystems through education and research
Support our mission and become involved today! With your help we can prepare the youth for their role in preserving Florida's future. Not a member? That's ok. Come try us out!
Do you like the ocean? River? Beach? Boating? Surfing? Would you like for your kids, nieces, nephews to be able to enjoy the same things that we did growing up in Stuart? The Coasters
might be the perfect cause for you to join. We are not a high time consuming cause. We are looking to grow community awareness in the under 50 crowd. Our mission is to inspire environmental stewardship along Florida's coastal ecosystems through education and research.
Our Coasters group will help us in providing the community with education and awareness.
What are some ways you can help? Spread the word. Create community awareness. Prepare the youth for their role in preserving Florida's future. Activities to get involved in: Annual Clambake, Community Service Projects (Beach and road clean-ups, marine restoration, education), After Hours Ocean Hour fundraisers at local restaurants, etc. We are currently looking for volunteers
to help with the oyster shell collection that local restaurants are participating in. If you would
Any young adult 21-50 who would like to learn more about the Coasters or support Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center and its effort please call 772-225-0505 x-104 or email Genna Lunsford.
